Leah
Elizabeth Harmuth is a contemporary fine art consultant focusing on emerging and
established artists, and timeless design.
Interests
range from contemporary masters such as painting and prints by Richard Diebenkorn, Gerhard Richter to new
artists such as photographs by Ryan
McGinley, Tauba
Auerbach, Gregory Hayes sculptures, and
Milo Baughman objets d’art.
Leah Harmuth
visits New York City Chelsea galleries
and museums, as well as some of the major art fairs including Art Basel Miami Beach, TEFAF in Maastricht and Frieze New York .
Leah
Harmuth’s art business background receiving a Master’s Degree in 2013 from the Sotheby's Institute of Art, as well
as a business development fellowship at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.
She is also
an active member of MoMA’s
Junior Associates, and is a founding Steering
Committee member of NYFA’s Young Patron’s society. Graduating from the University
of Pennsylvania summa cum laude
Leah Harmuth received her J.D. from the University of California ,
Hastings College of Law.
Leah
Harmuth is committed to developing highly personalized client relationships
through her consulting business, which focuses on advising aspiring gallerists,
collectors, and emerging artists on matters pertaining to acquisition,
consignment, provenance, and collection management. Services also include
researching and assessing fair market value and long-term investment value of
fine art, as well as arranging appraisal and authentication of artwork by
relevant experts. As an ardent advocate for contemporary art, Leah
believes in transparent transactions and in the virtue of demystifying the
often opaque art world.
